The New Voice of ChatGPT

In a Nutshell: Earlier this week, OpenAI unveiled their latest release of ChatGPT; 4o. They had a live demonstration and demonstrated the new way of interacting with AI: Voice! Sort of like Siri, but 100x better; the soon to be released app allows you to have a fluid conversation with AI, with very minimal lag and waiting. ChatGPT-4o will even interact with your phones camera to read your facial expressions and interact with the world around you. It’s scary good and crazy how fast AI is improving!

How long before AI starts replacing customer service jobs?

In a Nutshell: After the livestream, OpenAI released a handful of demonstrations using the latest ChatGPT-4o App. One of those is the video above providing a proof of concept with an AI interacting with another AI in a customer service setting. I was rather impressed at this early demonstration, and it had me wondering how many years until customer service jobs are under serious threat by being replaced with AI. Adoption takes a while, so I suspect around 3-5 years before it makes a serious dent. Watch the video and then let me know what you think!
